Once you've defeated the three mechanical bosses and have seen the message, "The Jungle Grows Restless", you are able to battle Plantera. This boss is found deep in the Underground Jungle, which is fairly easy to find so long as you've gone east or west in your world. It is on the opposite side of the dungeon. The entrance will be at the surface, and deep below you'll find powerful chlorophyte ore to create new gear and life fruit that can extend your character's life by 5 each, from to You'll also find pink bulbs, which will be used to summon Plantera as many times as you'd like to fight it.
Farm the Mechanical Bosses - whichever you find easiest - by summoning them multiple times at night until you're able to craft a full set of Hallowed Armor, then move up to Chlorophyte by mining some in the Jungle with a Hallowed Pickaxe. At least get yourself some so that you can farm it it grows in mud by converting blocks. This powerful set will help immensely as you battle the Jungle's many monsters, which can be quite deadly. Additionally, you will want at least a few buff potions - your choice, but I load up on them and partake heavily in herbology so that my experience is more laid back.
As in, slaughtering the boss as opposed to running for my life, screaming as a giant plant climbs the cavern walls seeking to eviscerate my poor character. Plantera's Bulbs If you've already explored the Underground Jungle seeking some Chlorophyte ore, Plantera's bulbs will be visible on the minimap as small pink squares along cavern floors you've got to zoom in to see them well.
They can appear practically anywhere in the immense jungle, so it may take some exploration and time on your part. Once you've found one, you can break the bulb with a pickaxe to begin the fight.
Don't worry, for these bulbs will respawn throughout the jungle and Plantera can be fought again by repeating the process.
Platforms built across and about one screen in size, maybe 1. This takes a good deal of wood, but that is a renewable resource and you can lure future Plantera fights to this area.
It's better to use them for this purpose than sell them, as you can harvest lanterns with a pickaxe. Spread them out so that no matter where you are in the arena, you're getting the extra regen. Add a life regeneration potion and other potions on top of this and you're almost overpowered so long as your defense is over Plantera Phase 1 Break a bulb and Plantera will arrive shortly.
In phase one, Plantera is not very difficult. You will want to kite it unless melee, and simply fire away at the main body mass. The main attack poison spit coupled with the bouncing balls can be a challenge for squishy characters, but this boss can definitely be brought down melee if using the best gear available. It will begin to shoot faster as it takes more damage.
At around half health, the boss will enrage.
It will try to ram you with its massive mandibles?? Use health potions as soon as you can benefit from the full amount of healing, not when you're about to die. Use at health or so, and try to get some distance between you so that you can stand still for a moment to recover a few extra health from passive regen. Using potions earlier lets you have another chance to use one before death.
Plan your moves so that you do not lead yourself into a corner and force contact with it, and it will be dead in due time. What Happens Afterward? Plantera's death will give you some potentially great loot, but most importantly the Temple Key, which leads to the next boss - Golem. Plantera's death will give you a message akin to, "You hear screams coming from the Dungeon". However, you should do Golem first.
He's easier than what awaits in the dungeon. The Cyborg NPC will move in should you have a home available. That's a good thing for control freaks. Additionally, biome keys can be used in the dungeon, meaning you can get each biome-specific item found there so long as you a.Installera Steam.

Hi all who see this message, i need help in one question: I have a server with my cousin, we've got a small world but with a huge subterranean jungle, but we have explored all the jungle and the plantera's bulb didn't spawn.
Visar 1 - 15 av kommentarer. Maybe it is there you just have missed it. I spent hours trying to find mine and then I found 3 at once so yeah. My cousin does that! Wait, he can teleport? He can use it to get in the temple. Or use teleporters by the door to get in without the key. Yep he can. Just keep looking, Probally missed somewhere.
I think the potion which shows chests and that will show the bulb. Ursprungligen skrivet av Olly :. You haven't explored everything, far from it. But if you really want to find it quickly, you can use a world viewer. That is a lot of exposed area but there are still some unexposed areas. A dark area does not mean that the entire area is filled with dirt or solid material. There could be caverns or open areas in the dark parts. Although it is possible that the flowers should be spread around, but it's also possible that they are closely packed together in one of the areas you have not explored yet.
Plantera Bulbs are kinda like pumpkins, they will spawn over time once your world enters hardmode. Still have the problem? For Plantera's Bulb to spawn you have to kill either the twins, the destroyer or skeletron prime.
Per sida: 15 30 Plantera's Bulbs are Hardmode background objects that will summon Plantera when broken.
A bulb must be destroyed with a pickaxea drillwith explosivesor the Clentaminator using Dark Blue Solution in order to summon Plantera. Plantera's Bulbs emit moderate light, and will appear on the minimap in pink in areas the player has already explored. They spawn one at a time after a delay of about half a day between them, and unless destroyed, several will eventually be present 10—15 in a small world's naturally generated Underground Jungle. If destroyed, they respawn after the same delay though not necessarily in the same spotallowing the player to summon Plantera an infinite number of times.

While I cannot find the link now, there used to be a guide on the wiki for farming Plantera's Bulb, and following it helped me on later runs. The idea is basically to make a second area of underground jungle somewhere well away from the normal jungle, and give it large areas of flat jungle grass.
The design that I saw was a large room with a stack of one tile thick mud and jungle grass platforms. The platforms also had actuators behind them so that you could quickly turn the room into an open area for actually fighting Plantera. The explanation in the article, although I cannot vouch for its veracity, was that one bulb spawns per time period, per isolated jungle region. So if you made a reasonably sized jungle region then you could find it more easily.
You should also note that the bulb requires a flat patch of jungle grass at least two tiles wide. In my experience this patch must also be empty, but I have no other sources to back up that assertion.
So you may need to periodically remove bushes and tall grass. This can also help with getting it to spawn in regular jungle areas. They tend to get overgrown and need to be. You should also note that Plantera's bulb does not spawn until after you have defeated all three mechanical bosses.

To my knowledge and I may well be wrongPlantera's Bulb will only spawn on empty Jungle grass - and by Hardmode that's all Plant-ed over heh.
Just go wandering and swing your pickaxe - I've found that digging 3-block high tunnels to try and entice the bulb to spawn is also worthwhile.

Girnee View Profile View Posts. Probably because they don't want you to summon it outside of the jungle, also you technically can't summon Fishron manually by that logic. By the way, in Hardmode I think, might happen pre-harmode breaking a demon altar can cause a block in the Jungle to become corrupted, and that just spreads. And you can't really make 2 or more arenas quickly, especially considering you really need a large space, not too easy to find in the underground Jungle.
And this is all assuming you don't die, because Plantera is tough compared to the Mechanical bosses. Per page: 15 30 Date Posted: 20 Jul, am. Posts: 7. Discussions Rules and Guidelines.

View mobile website.Plantera's main body appears to be a massive pink flower bulb, much like the plant that it was summoned from.
It uses 3 vines to grab onto solid terrain to move. The vines do not inflict damage while the "claws" on the ends do. It shoots sharp leaves that do relatively little damage, which fire faster as its HP drops. There is also an intermediate stage at around a quarter of its HP lost, where it starts shooting pink spiked balls that bounce off of walls, making it almost suicidal to fight in tight spaces.
The fire rate of the spiked balls also gets faster as it approaches the second stage. After losing half of its HP, Plantera loses its petals to reveal a carnivorous plant-like body and a multitude of tentacle-like vines besides the 3 used for movement which behave similarly to The Hungry. It stops shooting projectiles at this stage and increases its speed and decreases in defense.
This is a perfect time to use Ichor based weapons Which needs the Crimson to be loaded in the player's world or brought from another world with Crimson in it to decrease its defense even more, in order to kill it faster. There are significant differences in Plantera between normal and Expert Mode worlds.
It is highly inadvisable to fight Plantera on the surface or outside of the Underground Jungle since it enrages and deals far more damage than usual. When enraged, Plantera is capable of killing the player instantly when hit, even with projectiles. It may be possible to defeat it using a surface technique, or similarly kiting it to a different biome such as the Underworldhowever top tier equipment and weapons would be required.
Both of these things can trigger an unexpected enraged boss, significantly lowering any chance of survival regardless of the strategy. The use of auto-healing weapons is recommended as well, such as vampire knivesor mage weapons while the Spectre Armor With hood is equipped. This can only work for farming Plantera, as both the Spectre armor and Vampire knives are only obtainable after Plantera is defeated. This method is executed by simply excavating a large area in which the player can fight Plantera.
This method will work well with most gear load-outs and can be a simple yet effective way of defeating it. By digging out a large circular space The Underground Jungle has a multitude of similar spaces that only require a little cleaning up and placing rows of platforms across its diameter, it becomes possible to apply different kinds of boss strategies such as Kiting. Another arena setup is to build a grid in which the player can go up down left and right without using flight and if the player uses speed boosting accessories, they can increase speed when running because the player is not constantly flying.
A fast and efficient weapon to defeat Plantera is the Clockwork Assault Rifleas it fires faster than the Megashark when reforged and the first shot does not consume ammo. It also fires three round bursts, effectively better at ammunition conservation. This method is recommended if there is no access to powerful equipment such as gear that is required to defeat Plantera yet and need a reasonably easy way of challenging this boss with a good chance to win.
On a side note, another way to kill it using the open area arena strategy is to lure Plantera into the Lihzahrd Temple. The player would have to first destroy all of the traps and spikes and after doing so the player would then summon Plantera and run down a pre-excavated tunnel leading into the Lihzahrd Temple where the player would then have the vital space to defeat Plantera. For this method, a vertical shaft see Hellevator at least 3 blocks wide will be dug from the top of the Underground Jungle down to where lava pools begin to appear.
This doesn't take too long as mud mines up fairly quickly and the biome usually contains many open areas to which excess water can drain. The ideal location for this shaft would be in the center of the Jungle so that it can be quickly reached from anywhere a Plantera's Bulb is found.
Carl's Terraria Guide
It could also be placed between two major Jungle cave systems in which the Bulb might spawn. Weapons used for this method are the best damage ranged weapons or spells available to the player. The Hallowed Repeater paired with Chlorophyte Arrows is sufficient. High Armor ratings, the Cross Necklaceand the Philosopher's Stone are not required but make this method easier. To begin the battle, destroy a Plantera's Bulb and kite the boss to the hellevator, taking care not to get too far away causing it to despawn.
If it begins to get too far away, attach to the wall with the grappling device until it catches up, then resume slow-falling, shooting all the while.
